Many PRI Voters Got Gifts, Study Says

A third of the people who voted in an important state election last month say they received gifts from the ruling party, which won the vote, a study shows. Eighty percent of those who were given handouts from the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, ended up voting for the party in the July 4 gubernatorial elections in the state of Mexico, according to the poll. The study was conducted by a private British firm.
