Baseball Hall of Famer Rod Carew and Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Garden Grove) will be among the Latinos honored Friday by the Orange County’s United Way for their achievements and contributions to the community. Tickets are $75, with proceeds going to the Delhi and Anaheim Independencia community centers and Latino Health Access. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Alicante, 100 Plaza Alicante.
