A film noir-style P.I. solves the case of a wedding ring lost in 1929 that resurfaces in 1999 in Lisa Loomer’s new play, “Broken Hearts: A B.H. Mystery,” a Cornerstone Theater presentation closing Sunday at Los Angeles Theatre Center, Theatre 2, 514 S. Spring St., downtown Los Angeles. “You Can’t Take It With You,” Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s comedy about eccentric have-nots whose daughter wins the heart of the son of snooty Park Avenue types, closes Sunday at the Actors Co-op at Crossley Terrace Theatre, 1760 N. “Rosetta,” the Palme d’Or-winning Belgian film by co-writing, co-directing brothers Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne, closes a two-week engagement tonight at the Nuart. The film offers an intense look at the life of a teenage girl (Emilie Dequenne, who shared the best actress award at Cannes) living in a run-down trailer park, whose sole mission is to get a job and have a normal life.
