The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to begin the bidding process on the first phase of the Imperial Highway improvement project. Council members approved the plans and specifications for the highway widening between Yorba Linda Boulevard and 2,200 feet north of Esperanza Road.
Public Works Director Roy Stevenson said the city is expected to award a contract for the project sometime in late January. Construction would begin soon afterward, he said.
