A free eight-week training program for hospice volunteers begins Wednesday at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Hospice volunteers assist in caring for dying patients who wish to spend their remaining days at home. Classes are Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. at the hospice office, 24022 Calle de la Plata.
