Channel League--Senior Trevor Clocherty (140) was among six Ventura wrestlers to win league titles at Ventura. Fourteen wrestlers reached the finals for Ventura, which finished 4-0 in dual meets to win the team title.
Clocherty defeated Eric McTague of Dos Pueblos, 15-5, to improve to 39-3.
Jesse Ingram (135), Tim Eckberg (145), Joe Fuentes (160), Steve Torres (171) and Jason Rutland 215) also won titles for Ventura.
Frontier League--Alemany’s Joe Ibarra (130), Marcos Herrera (135) and Albert Masih (heavyweight), and Calabasas’ Ricardo Ibarra (103) and Richard Kline (215) won titles at Chaminade to finish unbeaten in the league.
Alemany, with five champions, placed first with 199 1/2 points. Calabasas took second with 192 1/2. Fillmore was third with 133.
