Western Dental Names Finance Chief

* Charles M. Levitin has been named chief financial officer of Western Dental Services Inc. in Garden Grove, a dental health maintenance organization. In addition, Jeffrey A. Katz was appointed general counsel. Before joining the company, Levitin operated a number of privately held businesses. Before that, he was with Kenneth Leventhal & Co., now E&Y; Kenneth Leventhal & Co., where he was managing partner of the audit and accounting department of the Los Angeles office. Katz joined Western Dental Services from the law firm of Berger, Kahn, Shafton, Moss, Figler, Simon & Gladstone in Marina del Rey.

* Lori Connell has been named human resources supervisor for SK&A; Information Services Inc. in Irvine. She joined the company two years ago as a human resources specialist after being with United HealthCare for seven years.

* Thomas Lauterjung has been appointed director of network operations for the interactive division of First American Financial Corp. in Santa Ana. He joined the company as network administrator for the Lenders Advantage division in 1995, and was named information systems manager for California in 1997.

* Buzz Delano has been named Western regional sales manager for Sonance, a maker of audio products. He was formerly vice president of sales for Terk Technologies and before that was vice president of sales and marketing at Scientific Audio Electronics.

* Paul I. Hiller has been selected by the Irvine Chamber of Commerce to manage Destination Irvine, an economic partnership between the chamber and the city of Irvine. He had run the economic development program for the city of Redding, and spent 10 years with the state Trade and Commerce Agency in Sacramento.

* Glenn Hitchcock has been named vice president of sales and marketing for the Cerplex Group Inc. in Tustin. Nate Losapio was appointed vice president of technology and product development, and Tom O’Docharty is the new vice president of strategic initiatives. Before joining Cerplex, Hitchcock was general manager and vice president of the financial services division at Comdata Corp. Losapio was formerly a senior member of the executive staff for an outsourcing firm. O’Docharty had been general manager for the parts division.

* Karen A. Testman has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley. Before joining the hospital, she was the regional director of finance for five Catholic Healthcare West acute care facilities, and director of finance for St. Bernardine Medical Center.

* Kevin E. Brooks has joined ObjectShare Inc. in Irvine in the new position of vice president of finance. Brooks was previously Los Angeles business manager for Sprint PCS. Earlier, he was an audit manager in Deloitte & Touche’s high-technology group.

* Kristen M. Maher has been named to the new position of vice president of product development for Catellus Residential Group in Irvine. She was formerly vice president and director of production for Bassenian/Lagoni Architects in Newport Beach, and before that, director of product development for Greystone Homes Inc. in Newport Beach.

* Richard B. Scott has been named senior operator for Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Newport Beach. He had been vice president of operations for le Madeleine’s, a Dallas-based chain of self-service restaurants.

* Alan Pekarcik has rejoined Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Irvine office as senior vice president. He was with Voit from 1988 to 1997 before leaving to become senior vice president of acquisitions for Kilroy Realty.

* Linda Masquefa, Molly Millican and Hilary Kaye have been elected board members of the Executives Assn. of Orange County, a business networking organization. Masquefa is district sales manager of dataLok in Tustin; Millican is vice president of business services at Orange National Bank and Kaye is president of Hilary Kaye Associates in Tustin.

* Kent Haggerty has joined Snyder Langston, an Irvine real estate and construction services firm, as a development principal. He was previously a senior manager in the Newport Beach office of E&Y; Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group.

* Ronald D. Stumpf has been elected chairman of the Southland Economic Development Corp. for a one-year term. He is a partner in the CPA firm of Elliott, Lewis, Lieber & Stumpf in Santa Ana.
