Flannigan Leads UCLA

LaCresha Flannigan scored a career-high 27 points to lead No. 10 UCLA past Arizona State, 98-85, Tuesday night at Tempe, Ariz.
Arizona State, 6-5 overall and 0-2 in the Pacific 10, trailed, 42-41, at the half but committed 14 turnovers after the break as UCLA (10-4, 2-0) pulled away.
Maylana Martin scored 19 points to help UCLA, and Erica Gomez set a UCLA record with 16 assists.
Kristine Sand’s career-high 26 points helped keep Arizona State close.

Shea Ralph scored 15 points to lead No. 1 Connecticut (12-0, 5-0) to an 84-56 Big East victory over Seton Hall (4-8, 1-3) at South Orange, N.J. . . . Ukari Figgs scored 10 points, all in the second half, and Stephanie White-McCarty added a game-high 19 points as No. 3 Purdue (10-1, 2-0 Big Ten) held off Penn State (9-3, 1-2), 53-48, at West Lafayette, Ind. . . .
