Dedication Ceremonies Planned for New Library

A new public library nearly three times bigger than its predecessor will be dedicated today.
The building will offer a children’s room, an area for parents, and larger reading and periodicals areas, said Nancy Mahr, spokeswoman for the county’s public library system.
The library, open since Dec. 18, also has more parking than the old one on Pearblossom Highway, Mahr said. Its new computers offer Internet access and CD-ROM resources, she said.
The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the library, 35119 80th St. East. For information, call (805) 944-4138.
