Kathy Oshima, principal of Concordia Elementary School, has received a Celebrating Diversity Award, district officials announced Tuesday. Oshima created the Japanese language program at Concordia and said she did so with California’s geographic proximity to the Pacific Rim in mind.
The award is given annually by the Assn. of California School Administrators.
