Sheriff’s Department Asks Public’s Help in Finding 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating four men wanted on suspicion of failing to appear in court or violating probation.
Johnny Dansby, 41, was arrested in September 1998 on suspicion of grand theft. After he was released on bail, deputies said he failed to show up for his court hearing.
Dansby’s last known residence was in the Chatsworth area. He is 6 feet tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and dark brown eyes. He has a tattoo on his chest that reads “JRD.”
Michael Anthony Mears, 23, was placed on probation for driving under the influence. He was later arrested twice on suspicion of possession of stolen property and violation of a court order. Deputies said he has violated his probation and have issued three warrants.
Mears’ last known address was 1834 W. Ave. J-12, Lancaster. He is 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Frank Carl Smith, 29, was convicted of transporting marijuana in June 1996 and nearly three years later of cultivation of marijuana.
He has failed to appear in court in connection with those charges, deputies said.
Smith’s last known address was 610 Wilshire Place, Newbury Park. He is 6 feet 4 and 280 ounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Robert Glen Imsande, 35, was arrested last year on suspicion of forging prescriptions but failed to attend his scheduled court hearing.
Imsande’s last known address was 4432 Yorkfield Court, Westlake Village. He is 5 feet 10 tall and 155 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes.
