View Tech Inc. to Explore Growth Opportunities

View Tech Inc. in Camarillo announced it has retained H.C. Wainwright & Co., a Boston-based investment banking firm, to evaluate strategic growth opportunities for the company.

“In order to take full advantage of the market opportunity and maximize our potential for growth, we need to move aggressively to access and deploy capital, managerial and other corporate resources,” said company CEO William J. Shea.

Shea said major contracts with the state of Louisiana, Region 18 in Texas and the University of Massachusetts, plus others soon to be announced, will offer new opportunities for View Tech.

“We plan to review the full range of strategic alternatives available to us to gain access to such resources and will be open to all alternatives that better position the company for growth,” he said.

Together with subsidiary USTeleCenters of Boston, View Tech provides voice, video and data equipment, plus network services, to business customers nationwide.

The company has equipment distribution partnerships with several companies and markets network services through agency agreements with Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, GTE, Southwestern Bell, Sprint and UUNET Technologies.
