* Widegap Technology of Westlake Village won a $1.4-million contract from Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts for research and development.
* Litton Systems of Agoura Hills won a $996,516 contract from the Navy in Arlington, Va., for advanced research and development.
* Talley Corp. of Oxnard won a $322,647 contract from the Hill Air Force Base in Utah for aircraft components.
* PTI Technologies of Newbury Park won a $114,011 contract from the Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, for pumps and compressors.
* Telair International of Oxnard won a $55,541 contract from Kelly Air Force Base in Texas for fixtures and aircraft maintenance.
* Griffin Bros. in Camarillo was awarded a contract for $24,271 by Ventura County to landscape the McDonald Canyon Drain Unit II in Ojai. The project, on Fairview Road about 100 yards north of Highway 33, involves installation of vegetation, planters and an irrigation system.
