PASO ROBLES, Calif. — Coroners officials on Sunday identified the four victims in the crash of a single-engine Cessna during takeoff at Paso Robles Municipal Airport.
Killed at the scene Saturday were pilot Lynn Wiley, 52, and Daniel Dougherty, 47, both of Davis, and Therese Pursel, 33, of Santa Barbara, the San Luis Obispo County coroner’s office said. Suzanne Gray, 30, of Oakview died Sunday afternoon at Sierra Vista Hospital in Templeton.
The four were believed to have been on a parachuting trip, authorities said Sunday.
The sole survivor, James Pursel, 31, of Santa Barbara, remained in serious condition, police said.
Wiley, a licensed pilot, was a professor of medicine at UC Davis and an expert on reproductive biology, the university said.
