Public’s Help Sought in Finding 4 Fugitives

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating four fugitives wanted for either failing to appear in court or violating probation. An arrest warrant has been issued in each case.

Anita Davis, 30, also known as Anita Lemon and Anita Thompson, was convicted of forgery and placed on probation, which she violated, deputies said.

Davis’ last known address was in Oxnard. She is black, 5 feet 4 inches, 140 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. “Willie” is tattooed on her right wrist and “Burrell” is on her left arm.

Steven Joseph Montijo, 22, was convicted of battery on a peace officer and possession of drugs. He has violated the terms of his probation, authorities said.

Montijo was last known to have lived in the 1300 block of Azalea Street in Oxnard. He is Latino, 6 feet 1, 180 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

John Albert Petrie, 26, also known as Johnie Petrie and Mark Lanford, was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and failed to appear in court, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

He also is wanted for failing to appear in court in a separate case on a charge of being under the influence of drugs, deputies said.

Petrie’s last known address was in the 1500 block of Citrus Drive in Ventura. He is white, 5 feet 10, 145 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Gregory Haile, 25, is wanted for failing to appear in court on a charge of cultivating marijuana, authorities said. His last known address was in the 1100 block of Bryson Avenue in Simi Valley.

Haile is white, 6 feet 4, 220 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
