Re the services provided by the California Office of Export Development (letter, May 3): Many small businesses such as mine can point to sales made that are directly attributable to assistance from OED. The overseas trade offices allow small business (the heart of California’s economic growth) to compete on a level playing field with the Fortune 500. Small companies such as mine cannot speak too highly of the OED. It’s one of the best investments to assist economic growth.
