The City Council on Tuesday will discuss the 1999-2000 city budget. The proposed $35-million budget will be slim this year for some projects because of recently settled lawsuits from the 1995 Dunning Drive mudslide. The $1.55 million in settlements have eliminated the city’s $500,000 contingency reserve, reduced the automotive replacement fund by $518,000 and reduced the city’s General Fund balance by $532,000. The council meets at 6 p.m. in chambers, 505 Forest Ave. Information: (949) 497-0750.
