Crowded Buses
Perhaps if the MTA officials and their attorneys had to ride their own bus system during rush hour to get to and from their jobs, they might have a better understanding that a target of no more than 15 passengers standing on a bus is still unacceptable. Nevermind the condition the buses themselves are in. Several times I have ridden on buses where everyone was crowded in the aisle in the front of the bus and with good reason--the back exit door did not work.
Of course that would be similar to programs where courts sentence slumlords to live in their own buildings until repairs are made. Hmmmm--I’ll bet those targets would be met a lot faster. A lot faster.
