Dow Jones & Co. has changed the divisor used to calculate the Dow Jones industrial average, reflecting the latest changes in the index’s components. The divisor has been changed to 0.20435952 from 0.19740463. The index’s value is calculated by adding the share prices of all 30 companies in the index, then dividing by the divisor, which is recalculated whenever Dow Jones changes the makeup of the index or one of the components splits its shares. Microsoft, Intel, SBC Communications and Home Depot were added to the 103-year-old blue-chip index, effective Monday, replacing Sears, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Chevron and Union Carbide. . . . American depositary shares of Italy’s Enel electricity company begin trading today on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol EN. . . . The U.S. government said it will sell savings bonds over the Internet, starting today, at https://www.savingsbonds.gov.
