More than 1,000 students from Carr and McFadden intermediate schools will celebrate the implementation of the Gaining Early Readiness for Undergraduate Programs with a parade and ceremony Saturday at Valley High School.
The program is a $10-million, five-year college preparatory partnership between UC Irvine, Santa Ana College and the Santa Ana Unified School District. The program is designed to provide students at Carr and McFadden intermediate schools and at Saddleback and Valley high schools with language arts and math classes to aid in college preparation.
The event begins at 9 a.m. on the Valley High School athletic field, 1801 S. Greenville. Information: (714) 558-5555.
