Northridge Will Play Air Force Next Fall

Cal State Northridge will open next football season with a game at Air Force, Athletic Director Dick Dull said Wednesday.
Dull said the Falcons signed the Matadors to a contract for Sept. 2 that will net Northridge $125,000, the second-largest guaranteed payout from a game in school history.
Northridge earned $200,000 playing at Kansas earlier this season.
SIGNINGS
* Pepperdine received nine letters of intent on the first day of the early signing period, including catcher Tommy Rojas of Silverado High in Henderson, Nev.
The men’s basketball team landed 6-9 forward Will Kimble of San Bernardino Pacific and 6-9 guard Robert Turner of Buena Park Western.
The women’s basketball team signed 6-8 center Kristen Bowden of New Braunfels, Texas, 5-5 guard Shandrika Lee of Moreno Valley North and 6-5 forward-center Shannon Mayberry of Edmond, Okla.
* Gregory Russell a pitcher from Hoover High, signed with Wake Forest. Jeff Green, a pitcher from Valencia, signed with San Francisco.
