Thirteen teenagers were presented with recognition awards for their year of service as Young Adult Teen Committee volunteers Tuesday evening in City Council chambers.
Among those who received awards was Mayor Ken Blake’s son Ryan, who finished his second year of YATC service.
This year’s YATC volunteers helped the Recreation Department develop new teen after-school programs and served Thanksgiving dinners to more than 34 families last November.
YATC is sponsored by the Police Department and Recreation and Community Services.
