LAUSD Breakup

Apparently very few people remember that when Ronald Reagan was governor, both houses of the California Legislature passed the Harmer-Greene bill, which would have split LAUSD into 12 separate school districts. The bill was vetoed by the governor. I have not seen mention of that fact in any of the media.
