About 400 pounds of turkeys, canned goods and other food staples were recently delivered to the Southwest Community Center by a local service organization. The center serves about 9,000 meals and provides about 800 bags of food to the needy each month. The Orange Empire chapter of SERTOMA, Service to Mankind International, organized the food drive and meets for lunch at noon each Thursday at the Santa Ana Elks Club. Information: (714) 637-3739.
