* USC (0-0) at PORTLAND (2-0), 7--USC opens its season after an impressive 84-59 victory in its final exhibition game against New Zealand’s national team. Junior forward Tashara Carter led five players in double figures with 13 points. Portland was 16-13 last season, 7-7 in the West Coast Conference. The Pilots, who defeated Wyoming, 77-59, and San Diego State, 50-49, in a season-opening weekend tournament at Pocatello, Idaho, are led by center Sarah Green.
