SEASON AT A GLANCE: Stokes, a two-way starter, is the second-leading receiver for the Vikings, averaging 24.8 yards a catch. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound dynamo has 22 catches for 546 yards and nine touchdowns and has intercepted four passes as a safety.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Stokes made the biggest plays in Valencia’s 26-21 upset over No. 2-seeded Notre Dame in a Southern Section Division III quarterfinal. He caught six passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns, including an 88-yard reception with 1:38 to play for the winning score. In addition, he returned the opening kickoff 79 yards to set up a touchdown and intercepted a pass inside the Valencia 25-yard line.

SCHOOL: Harvard-Westlake
YEAR: Junior
SPORT: Tennis
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Berg played No. 1 singles for the Wolverines and led them to a 19-2 record. She beat teammate Jessica Leck to win the Mission League singles championship. The Wolverines’ only losses were to Peninsula and San Marino.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Berg capped a strong playoff run with a 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 sweep of three Laguna Hills opponents in the Southern Section Division III championship match. Berg’s efforts keyed a singles sweep by the Wolverines, who defeated the Hawks, 10-8, to win the team title. Berg is one of three singles players from the region who has advanced to the round of 16 on Thursday in the section individual tournament.
