Volunteers Sought to Build Home

Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers to help build a home for a low-income family in Piru.
People willing to swing hammers and plaster walls are asked to call the volunteer coordinator at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Thousand Oaks at 498-4502.
Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit group that builds homes for low-income families around the globe, is planning to build a 22-home subdivision in Piru.
Three homes have already been built.
The current home is scheduled to be completed by Christmas and is sponsored by a network of Presbyterian churches.
