An Anaheim woman and her 18-month-old daughter were struck by a car Thursday as they crossed a busy street in Anaheim, police said.
Chanel Dunn, 19, was pushing daughter Tania Douglas in a stroller across Beach Boulevard in the middle of the 800 block when the accident happened at 9:30 a.m., police said. The two were airlifted to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where the child was treated for minor injuries and released. Dunn was hospitalized for observation overnight, hospital spokesperson Kim Pine said.
The vehicle that struck the two was a 1991 Plymouth Sundance traveling north, apparently within the 45-mph speed limit, said Robyn Butler, spokesperson for the Anaheim Fire Department.
The driver was not cited, authorities said.
