The city’s senior accountant filed a breach-of-contract claim against the city and City Manager Keith Till, becoming the second employee recently to take legal action against the city.
Stephanie Stinson, who has worked for the city for 22 years, filed a claim in Orange County Superior Court last week.
Elizabeth Stoddard, the city treasurer, filed a claim to get her job back on Sept. 13, after she was fired by Till.
A majority on the City Council supports Till, and the council will look at the claim in closed session before its meeting tonight.
