The Orange County Red Cross has received a $25,000 donation from health care provider PacifiCare to continue providing relief to local disaster victims. Last year, the Red Cross provided warm meals, new clothes and temporary housing to 1,144 individuals countywide. The Red Cross responds to local disasters such as residential fires, flooding and hazardous material spills. Free emergency preparedness classes will be held Nov. 16 and 18.
