The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two suspects in a Tuesday morning bank robbery, deputies said.
The two robbers entered the Washington Mutual Bank at 27632 Crown Valley Parkway as two bank employees were arriving about 8:45 a.m., deputies said.
One of the men showed employees a weapon under his jacket and demanded money, deputies said.
The employees were not able to open the bank’s vault, but the robbers did escape with a small, unidentified amount of cash, deputies said.
Before leaving, the robbers tied up the two employees, who were able to free themselves and contact police, deputies said.
Witnesses did not see a getaway car, deputies said.
