* Marsha Ferber will discuss and sign “Prescription for Robust Health” at 7 tonight at Borders Books and Music, 429 S. Associated Road, Brea.
* Writer Luis Gonzalez will speak at the Writer’s Series meeting at 7 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble, 13712 Jamboree Road, Irvine.
* Costa Mesa poet Paul Suntup, first-place winner of the eighth annual Performance Poetry Contest, which was held recently at the Gypsy Den Grand Central in Santa Ana, will join poet Michael Kramer for a reading at the regular Factory Readings gathering at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gypsy Den Cafe and Reading Room in the Lab mall, 2930 Bristol St., Costa Mesa.
* David Koenig will discuss and sign “More Mouse Tales: A Closer Peek Backstage at Disneyland” at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at Barnes & Noble, 13712 Jamboree Road, Irvine.
