Juror Pay

Re “New Chance for Juror Pay Hike,” editorial, Aug. 19: As one of the guinea pigs of the “one-day, one trial” program, which I thought was excellent, I would suggest a pay hike has already occurred for all those like me who didn’t end up in a trial and whose jury service was over in just two days.
What would they think about using some of the money, formerly wasted paying people for just hanging around, to increase that paid to those serving in trials lasting more than one week? Maybe something closer to the federal level?
