Despite sweeping a three-game, season-ending series against San Bernardino over the weekend, the JetHawks finished with their worst record (55-85) in their three-year existence. They finished 71-69 in 1996, their first season.
On Sunday, Lancaster defeated San Bernardino, 4-3, overcoming a 3-2 deficit with a two-run single by Harvey Hargrove in the top of the ninth inning.

JetHawk second baseman Jermaine Clark led the California League with 112 runs and first baseman Peanut Williams finished fifth in home runs with 26.

Right-hander Brandon Parker finished fourth in strikeouts with 147.

Triple A--Right-hander Javier Delahoya (Grant High) improved to 4-3 for Rochester (Orioles) in a 3-2 victory over Buffalo. He allowed five hits and two runs over six innings. . . . Reliever Brian Corey (Thousand Oaks, Pierce College) earned the victory and Erik Hiljus (Canyon) picked up his fifth save for Toledo (Tigers) in a 9-7 victory over Columbus. Corey allowed one hit in two scoreless innings, improving to 5-2, and Hiljus struck out two over two hitless, scoreless innings. . . . Right-hander Brandon Knight (Buena, Ventura College) struck out seven and gave up one run in four innings for Oklahoma (Rangers) but had no decision in a 9-7 loss to Omaha.
Double A--Center fielder Kurt Airoso (Cal State Northridge) had four hits and three RBIs for Jacksonville (Tigers) in a 16-8 victory over Mobile. Third baseman Eric Gillespie (Northridge) hit his 28th double for Jacksonville and drove in two runs. . . . Reliever Rob Crabtree (Northridge) struck out five and allowed two hits in 4 1/3 scoreless innings for Shreveport (Giants) in an 8-4 loss to Tulsa.
