Malibu 48, St. Genevieve 8--Running back Benny Townsend scored touchdowns on runs of 12, five, 11 and 23 yards to lead the Sharks (1-1) at Birmingham High.
Townsend rushed for 190 yards in 16 carries.
The Valiants, who trailed, 28-0, at halftime scored in the third quarter when defensive back Sean Yamashita picked up a block punt and returned it 32 yards for a touchdown.
St. Genevieve was held to 22 yards while the Sharks gained 496 yards.
Tyler Lemkin completed 16 of 23 passes for 245 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for Malibu.
