Actor and former Coto de Caza resident Jan-Michael Vincent pleaded guilty to three counts of public drunkenness and received an $800 fine at a hearing at Superior Court on Wednesday.
Vincent, who starred in several hit movies in the 1970s and in the 1980s helicopter-action-television program “Airwolf,” was arrested and charged with three counts of public drunkenness in Coto de Caza and Lake Forest in March.
Judge Ronald P. Kreber ordered Vincent, 54, to remain sober and continue participating in substance-abuse programs and counseling for three years.
“It feels like I’m turning my life around, and that feels great,” Vincent said in a statement after the hearing, issued through his attorney.
Kreber told Vincent he must report to the court in December and testify he is still sober and is seeing counselors regularly in order to avoid a prison sentence.
