Rich Bossenmeyer has been promoted to second assistant basketball coach at Cal State Fullerton. Bossenmeyer, 34, was a non-recruiting assistant last season for the Titans, and has filled his new role on an interim basis since Bob Thornton resigned in July.

The national championship for men’s volleyball will be played in Long Beach in 2001, the NCAA announced.
Long Beach State will host the weekend event at the Long Beach Arena with semifinals on May 3 and the national championship game on May 5.
