Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. on Thursday named Orrin Ingram, the eldest son of company founder E. Bronson Ingram, to its board of directors.
Orrin Ingram, 39, currently is president and chief executive of Nashville-based Ingram Industries Inc., a diversified company that includes the country’s largest book distributor. He joins his brother, John, and mother, Martha, on the Ingram Micro board. The Ingram family owns 48% of Ingram Micro’s stock and holds 85% of the voting power in the company, the world’s largest computer distributor.
