The “shotgun wedding” that united the communities of Capistrano Beach and Dana Point more than 10 years ago will be reenacted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Capistrano Pines Park. The event was originally staged just before Dana Point’s incorporation to heal hard feelings of Capistrano Beach residents who wanted to remain independent of Dana Point. Additional parking for the event is available at Palisades Elementary School, 26462 Via Sacramento. Information: (949) 493-5281.
