An Orange County Superior Court judge postponed a decision on a lawsuit that the city of Los Alamitos, the Rossmoor Homeowner’s Assn. and the Rossmoor Center has filed against the city concerning the Bixby development project.
After hearing three hours of argument, Judge William F. McDonald said Thursday that he would decide next week if the city can go ahead with the proposed 218-acre commercial and residential project.
Recently, Citizens Against Excessive Traffic, a group of residents opposed to the Bixby shopping center, have collected 2,817 signatures to put the development on the ballot in March.
The group needed 10% of the city’s 17,431 registered voters to get the measure on the ballot.
