* The Opera Company of Philadelphia presents “Salome” on April 26 and May 3 at 7:30 p.m.; April 28 and May 5 at 8 p.m.; and April 30 and May 7 at 2:30 p.m. at the Academy of Music at Broad and Locust streets. (215) 893-1999.

* From May 13-Aug. 6, the Philadelphia Museum of Art will host “Mary Ellen Mark: Photographs,” the first major exhibition to focus exclusively on Mark’s American work. At 26th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday evenings until 8:45 p.m.
