Many doctors say that recreational drug use among teenagers becomes more creative every year.
Parents and their children are invited to a discussion about trends in teenage drug abuse today.
The discussion will be led by Dr. Michael Ritter, associate medical director of the emergency room at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center. Ritter sees the effects of drug abuse firsthand.
The drugs discussed will include “ecstasy,” inhalants, ketamine, cocaine, marijuana and others. Treatments for drug abuse will also be discussed.
The meeting is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Aliso Niguel High School, 28000 Terrace View, Aliso Viejo. The program is free and open to the public.
