Newport Beach-based Master Development Corp. has begun construction on two speculative industrial buildings, called Master Distribution Center, totaling 520,000 square feet at a site one mile north of the 60 Freeway between Grove and Vineyard avenues in Ontario.
The $19-million development is adjacent to a Master Development project called Thoroughbred Business Park that is 98% leased, the company said. The project will include a 426,000-square-foot building at 1495 E. Francis St. and a 94,000-square-foot building at 1455 E. Francis.
The new space will be available for lease or sale.
The new project is designed by Newport Beach-based HPA Inc., with Master Development acting as contractor. The buildings will be among the latest in a continuing industrial building boom in and around Ontario.
