LOS ANGELES — The California Highway Patrol has asked for the public’s help in locating the driver of a brown minivan that struck and seriously injured an off-duty Los Angeles police officer.
Sachiko Devito was driving northbound on the Hollywood Freeway at Melrose Avenue when the minivan struck her tan 1989 Honda Accord about 6 a.m. Sunday, CHP Officer Karen Faciane said Wednesday.
Devito, 34, lost control of her car, which collided with a concrete wall, Faciane said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the CHP at (213) 744-2331.
