Eleven people have filed so far with the Orange County Registrar of Voters for seven available seats on the South Coast Water District in the Nov. 7 election.
The candidates are: Richard Bell and Robert Moore of Dana Point for the first division; Matt Erhart of Dana Point, second division; no candidate has filed for the third division; Glenn Montgomery and incumbent Richard Runge of Dana Point, fourth division; Richard Dietmeier and incumbent Fred Roberts of Dana Point, fifth division; incumbent Richard Gardner of Capistrano Beach, sixth division, and Dave Gahl of Capistrano Beach, Jim Hill of San Clemente and Ray Benedicktus of San Clemente, seventh division.
Second-division incumbent Joel Bishop of Dana Point has taken out candidate forms but hadn’t filed by Thursday.
Filing is free unless the candidate wants to include a 200-word statement in the sample ballot booklet for a $550 fee.
