AGOURA HILLS — A local man is recovering from a stab wound to the stomach after he confronted a suspected peeping tom, authorities said Friday.
Kay Moats, 27, was stabbed about 11:40 p.m. Thursday in the 30700 block of Passageway Place, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Phil Morris of the Malibu/Lost Hills Station. He had gone outside to put a cover on his car when he noticed someone peering into a neighbor’s window, authorities said.
When Moats approached the stranger to ask what he was doing, the man turned and slashed Moats on the left side with a knife. Moats was taken to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, where he is listed in good condition.
Morris said a woman was inside the home that was being watched by the attacker. Investigators said they suspect the assailant may live in the area.
