Poisoning Rats
* The National Park Service plan to exterminate the four-legged rats of Anacapa Island. The method of choice is 10,000 pounds of poison pellets dropped from the sky via helicopter. The rats will die, any bird of prey that eats the rats will die and any predator that eats those eagles hawks, ravens and crows will die. A death chain.
The National Park Service has poisoned and shot rabbits on Santa Barbara Island in the past. It has shot thousands of sheep on Santa Cruz Island and wild boars on Santa Rosa Island.
I vote to save the four-legged rats on Anacapa and remove the two-legged rats.
