Edison Mission Sells Stake in Plant

Edison Mission Energy said it has sold a 30% interest in its gas-fired cogeneration plant in Perth, Australia, to a subsidiary of Singapore-based SembCorp Energy. Irvine-based Edison Mission, which owns and manages generating plants, will retain a 70% stake in the plant. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Edison Mission and SembCorp Industries anticipate further joint-efforts to develop, own and operate electric power projects in the Asia Pacific region.
The Irvine company is a unit of Edison International in Rosemead.
