They Expect More Than Lip Service

Bill Plaschke and the Dodgers, in their zealous effort to be politically correct, missed the point [“Dodgers Don’t Kiss This Off,” Aug. 24]. Since when is French kissing a game-related celebration? I’ve kissed my grandmother goodbye hundreds of times without sticking my tongue down her throat. Duh, there is a difference! It doesn’t matter if it’s heterosexuals or homosexuals, French kissing in public is wrong, period. Sorry Plaschke and Bob Graziano, but it’s you who are acting immature and narrow-minded.

It’s unfortunate that the Dodger organization had to bow to the threats of a civil lawsuit coming from the gay community. However, I do believe the way the security guards handled the situation was wrong. They should have asked the women to refrain from displaying that type of affection while at the stadium and sent them back to their seats. I for one would be very upset and disgusted to have two women or two men displaying that type of affection in front of my children. I guess the gay community wants its lifestyle to be accepted by all or face the threat of legal action.

No wonder our Dodgers are having trouble winning. Management has backed down to two women who were tongue kissing at a recent Dodger game. I am sure security would not have thrown them out without a lot of complaints.

What has happened to our society where good manners are concerned? It looks like the only thing left is for the parents and grandparents in the audience who do not want their children and grandchildren distracted from the game to stay home or become rude themselves and take on exhibitionists who can’t keep it in the bedroom.

As prayer is legislated out of sports, and homosexuality is imposed upon any sports fan, has anyone noticed the hypocrisy? Obviously, Bill Plaschke is too caught up in political correctness. I won’t bring my Bible and start screaming scripture verses at Dodger Stadium, because I know others who don’t believe like I do don’t want me ruining not only their time but the money spent on the ballgame. I suppose it is too much to ask for homosexuals to keep the things that others believe to be morally wrong to themselves.

I for one would not want to bring my two children to a Dodger game and witness two lesbians French kissing. The lesbians’ actions are no more offensive than a drunk shouting obscenities or teenagers making crude gestures. They should all be thrown out!

I thought Dodger Stadium was a family event promoting family values. I suspect that Bob Graziano does not truly endorse two homosexuals kissing at Dodger Stadium, but what he finds even more offensive is a slimeball attorney representing the two women, showing up at Dodger Stadium with a multimillion-dollar lawsuit in hand!

The biggest shock regarding the women kissing at Dodger Stadium is that they were still at the game in the seventh inning. The new sheriff should sign them up to a multiyear deal.
