The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to consider a request to build a retirement community on 10 1/2 acres northwest of Rose Drive and Alta Vista Street. Homeplace Retirement Communities of America wants to build a 286-unit independent living facility, an 88-room assisted living facility and a 90-bed skilled nursing facility on the site. The meeting will be held in the council chamber at City Hall, 401 E. Chapman Ave.
